Sit like the lake

When the surface settles, the whole sky appears. This space offers a gentle timer and simple guidance—nothing to achieve, only a place to return.

How to sit · 如何安坐

  1. Find a stable seat—cushion, chair, or floor. Spine tall, shoulders soft.
  2. Rest the gaze gently downward, or close the eyes if that feels safe.
  3. Feel the breath at the nose, chest, or belly. No need to control it.
  4. When thought arises, notice it, and return—like a lake settling after wind.
  5. At the end, pause before moving. Carry a thread of stillness into the day.

Wu wei in practice · 無為

Effort that forces creates more ripple. Kind, steady attention is enough. Water carves stone not by struggle, but by patient alignment with its nature. Your practice can be the same.

Tibetan bowl meditation

“Sit quietly like this lake, and the whole universe will reveal itself within you, exactly as it is.”

像這湖一樣安靜地坐著,整個宇宙便會如實地在你之內顯現。
